SDVoE is uncompressed 4K/60 4:4:4 over 10 Gigabit Ethernet with zero frame latency, used for broadcast, medical and command-and-control. IP-7000 is a lightly compressed 1 Gigabit IP system that is cheaper to deploy and ideal for corporate, retail and digital signage installations where single-frame latency is acceptable.

Do I need a special network switch for CYP SDVoE?

SDVoE runs on a standard 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch, but it must support IGMP snooping, jumbo frames and have a non-blocking backplane with enough capacity for the endpoint count. Cache specifies known-good SDVoE-compatible switch models on every project.

Is CYP SDVoE interoperable with other SDVoE Alliance brands?

Yes. CYP SDV endpoints are SDVoE Alliance certified and interoperate with other Alliance-compliant endpoints at the stream level. For production projects we recommend a single-vendor endpoint stack so the master controller can manage matrix routing, video wall and KVM modes consistently.

How far can CYP SDVoE run over copper and over fibre?

Over Cat6A copper you get the 10GBASE-T limit of 100 metres endpoint to switch. For longer runs, EMI-sensitive environments or campus distribution, use the SDV-FTRX-U fibre transceiver over OM3 or OM4 multi-mode fibre.

What’s the real-world difference between SDVoE 10G and the CYP IP-7000 1G range? ↓

SDVoE is uncompressed. Every pixel of every frame arrives at the receiver exactly as the source sent it, at the same moment, with no compression artefacts and no frame-of-latency. IP-7000 is a high-quality 1G IP system that lightly compresses the signal to fit inside a gigabit network — excellent for corporate, retail, signage and even most residential, but not acceptable for broadcast or medical imaging where any latency or compression is a dealbreaker. For anything beyond that — and for anywhere you’re worried about EMI, ground loops or building expansion joints — use the SDV-FTRX-U fibre transceiver. Multi-mode OM3/OM4 will comfortably cover most UAE campus and tower distribution needs.

Can I mix SDVoE with HDBaseT or HDMI matrix gear on the same project? ↓
