Why thermostats need a design rethink
For decades, thermostats were industrial components — beige, plastic, bolted to a wall in a hallway. For luxury villas and five-star hotels, that's no longer acceptable. The thermostat is part of the interior, and it needs to behave like one.
What Polar Bear's latest thermostat brings
The new Polar Bear thermostat uses a capacitive-touch glass fascia with a minimalist layout, available in finishes that match premium wall plate ranges. The device integrates natively with KNX, Modbus and Matter — the three protocols that cover 95% of the integrator market in the GCC — and supports zone-level scheduling, occupancy-based setback and remote management via a smart home hub.
Installation and compatibility
The thermostat is a direct replacement for existing wall thermostats in most GCC residential wiring schemes. Integrators can drop it into a Control4, Crestron, Savant or KNX system with minimal reconfiguration. For projects using CoolAutomation for HVAC integration, the Polar Bear thermostat pairs naturally as the user-facing control surface.
